People talk about springtime as symbolizing hope. i just say it means a) my birthday, and b) warmer weather. Spring shouldn't get all cocky and think it has more hope then the other seasons.
That being said, right around this time, the sun decides to stop playing hide and seek and stay out for a whole day! Shocker. It's good because i have a great sunhat that has sadly been on hibernation all winter.
Speaking of headpieces, today i bought a beauteous little yellow hat in honor of the sunny season. (Not really though, to be honest i just saw the thing earlier in a nearby thrift store and bought it because the stupid people only priced it a dollar. not that I'm complaining, but they don't appreciate it's wonderfulness.)
an unnamed source said it looked like a banana peel. i told them that was not very nice. |
Also, the only song i could think of related to spring is from what i think is Mel Brooks' best movie, The Producers (1968, with Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder - two of my favorite people ever.)
This song is called Springtime for Hitler. Yes, it is as offensive as it sounds. if you saw the movie you would not be as appalled. Keep in mind, I'm German and have the utmost love and respect for my family's country, but this song is just too hysterical.
