so, here i bring you the Long Sleeve (we all are familiar with this, yes? its sort of like a t-shirt, but with sleeves that go down to your wrist?) and What to Wear It With.
First off: The Print
you want this to be the main attraction. don't insert other bright colors into the look.
WEAR WITH: understated pants, preferably dark jeans, and chunky solid colored shoes. no distracting jewelery.
Sparkle shirt, Bullhead jeans, American Eagle heels (you saw these on Aubrey in the "School Girl Irony" post), felt hat
2nd: The Graphic
this could be humorous. this could be an art experiment. this could be a political statement. this could be a piece of Van Gogh artwork (although that might fit under "the Print"). this could be an inside joke handmade at a birthday party with friends. keep it light. keep it silly.
WEAR WITH: faded pants and dark shoes. colorful jewelery (as long as the shirt is light. otherwise, keep it toned down).
random, old, no-brand, cut-up shirt (rolled up sleeves), Bullhead (doodled on) jeans, vintage shoes, random necklaces
this is for dinner out, or a play. or whatever. it's pretty (hence the title) and simple, and you feel great in it (work with me here, i'm totally making this up as i go along).
WEAR WITH: skinny jeans and bright flats. metal jewelery.
MODA-intenational shirt, Miss Sixty jeans, leather ballet flats, vintage necklace
4th: The Collar
i never said i had a problem with layers on the bottom.
WEAR WITH: colorful tights, high-waisted shorts, boots. lots of bright jewelery. straightlaced no more.
Brooks Brothers shirt, Era of Chaos shorts, $3 Creative Habitat Halloween Sale tights, Kamik boots, Mardi Gras beads, handmade sequins earings
